Brian: Maybe I could try talking to her, get her to do a better job? Mr. Burton: Yes, good idea. Thank you. Bye. | (Brian goes to the nurse's office) Brian: Hi, Mrs. Svenson. Mrs. Svenson: What do you want? | Brian: Mr. Burton sent me here to talk to you about your performance. Mrs. Svenson: What? Why would he send YOU? If he has anything to say to me, I want to hear it from HIS mouth. | Brian: Well, he's really busy, is the thing. And your job is hanging by a thread. Mrs. Svenson: (thought) What? No, he's probably lying. | Mrs. Svenson: Yeah, right. No one gets fired around here. It's impossible to find anyone willing to stick around as long as me. Twelve years! Brian: You can't turn people away without treating them. I could get you fired even without Mr. Burton's approval. | Mrs. Svenson: If you're not careful, you're gonna get this whole school shut down. You'll lose YOUR job, too. Brian: Maybe that wouldn't be the worst thing.
